John C. McDonnell began his career in 1980 as a stand-up comedian and has performed on numerous TV shows with several appearances on A&E’s “An Evening at the Improv” (1989-1993) and Fox’s “Comic Strip Live”.
For many years John has performed regularly for U.S. and NATO troops around the world. Has done three tours of Japan, three tours of Korea and also three tours of the Balkans among other countries and regions. The 1998 tour included 10 countries in two months.
John has headlined in every US state and in 54 countries and territories around the world. His TV debut was on “Star Search” (he lost) and his acting debut was on the series, “Coach”. John originally did stand-up as John McDonnell. Once he joined the Screen Actors Guild, he was required to use his middle initial and then became John C. McDonnell. He continues to perform around the world and act in TV and motion pictures.
